About Me

Hi, my name is Ariana. I am a first year student here at Linn-Benton and just graduated high school in June. I am a business major and I am taking marketing not just because it is a required corse but also because I took a class my freshman year and it was really interesting. I'm most excited to learn about how marketing has changed and evolved throughout the years. There are a lot more resources for businesses and it will be cool to see the different and new ways marketing is being utilized.

I am originally from Las Vegas and my family moved to Oregon when I was 11. Growing up we would always travel to  California and go to the beach and it became my favorite place. Even though the coast here is different and colder I still love going and usually end up going in the water. I also love hanging out and spending time with my friends. We usually end up going and getting some type of food or sweet treat or we just sit around doing nothing but I always end up having the best time.

I'm excited for this class and everything new I will learn about marketing!

                       The brand I chose to look at is Starbucks. At first I was interested just because it is a place I love to go to when I want a good seasonal drink or an everyday refresher, but then I thought about their social media and how I've never really looked at it. I wanted to see what their platforms were like and if they interacted with customers and comments as much as some over brands I've seen. "Target plots retail, marketing blitz around 'Stranger Things' final season" By: Peter Adams As I was looking through articles trying to find one I wanted to read about, this one caught my attention because it mentioned two things I like: Target and the show Stranger Things. As someone who has been waiting for the last season to come out, seeing that Target was coming out with a new campaign dedicated to the show, I was interested in seeing what it was about.  Target is launching a new campaign in hopes of capitalizing on the final season of 'Stranger Things' coming out next month. They will be coming out with merchandise and a national campaign they made with Netflix as a way to evoke nostalgia.
